Production of battery cells in E-Mobility
For safety and functional reasons, it is imperative to ensure bubble-free dosing when filling the batteries in e-mobility production. ViscoTec dosing systems guarantee a filling of the material without air admission. The repeatability of our systems is >99 %. Low material loss due to an optimized emptying system ensures optimized processes.
In addition, a highly precise and reproducible application of the slurry is one of the key processes in battery production. ViscoTec offers many advantages:

Sealing applications at the housing of the battery management systems and on the battery packs are state of the art. ViscoTec products are used in 1-component and 2-component applications. They convince by flexible use of the easy controllability. In addition, the avoidance or reduction of welding processes prevents heat from entering the battery cells.
An optimized thermal management is very important for a permanent use of the battery systems. This includes a heat removal of the electronic componets of the management systems and also a heat removal of the cells and packs or modules aswell. ViscoTec dosing systems are perfectly suited for the high-precision application of 1- and 2-component thermal pastes as well as filled and abrasive materials. This results in long service lives with hardly any wear.
Potting or bonding applications are used in the production of the battery packs as well in the electrical contacting systems. This applies to both 1- and 2-component. For safe material handling during the process, without dripping.
To increase the service life, battery management systems are encapsulated in e-mobility. This serves as protection against external influences (e.g. moisture, dirt, vibration, etc.). And the improvement of their own properties (e.g. heat dissipation). We can handle 1- and 2-component materials. Important: No air is introduced into the material during dosing.
To protect the coils of the rotor and stator of the electrice machine the coils will be potted, respectively impregnated with low viscosity compounds.
